The Fossoway Community Benefit 'Hydro' Fund has been established by the Fossoway and District Community Council to disburse annual funding provided to it for the benefit of the local community by the Rumbling Bridge Community Hydro Society, one of the largest community owned hydro projects in the UK.

 

Following a postal community consultation involving every household in the Community Council area, priorities were identified for the application and administration of the sum of £5,000 (NB: currently £6.300+ p.a.) received annually from the Society. 

 

An independent Grants Panel administers the Fund on behalf of the Community Council, by way of grants to local groups benefitting the communities of Blairingone, Carnbo, Crook of Devon, Drum, Powmill and Rumbling Bridge.
